The Centre for Parliamentary Studies is pleased to announce the commencement of the Drafts & Debates Series, to bring together thoughtful discussion and analysis of bills, cases, draft legislations, and parliamentary debates in India. This series endeavours to provide a nuanced analysis of legislative proposals and the deliberative processes that accompany them, with a view to enhancing scholarly and public understanding of the lawmaking framework.

By situating legislative drafts within the broader context of parliamentary discourse, the series seeks to discuss both the substantive legal implications of proposed enactments and the democratic values that inform their discussion.
